Don't use cream, at all. if you HAVE to use something for shaving and can't or won't use hotish water, then use a NON foaming gel. Gilette makes a few that I used to use, but as I said, I don't use shaving cream or gel anymore. Haven't for years and I still shave once a day. The thick creams and stuff tend to clog up your razor quickly, then you end out pushing harder to make it cut the hair. What are you left with? A smooth face, but a very worn blade and a raw itchy chin.

If you go the GEL route, use just a tiny bit, you should just have a thin, but complete film, all over your shaving area.

The best thing in the world is to get a fogless mirror and put it in the shower. Climb in, and shave under the running water.

I also recommend some Aloe Vera or Vitamin E or D lotion when you get out. Keeps you from having 'Dry Face'.

Remember though, the ONLY reason you use gel or cream to begin with is to lubricate your face so the razor glides easily. They DO help a bit to soften up your facial hair too, but warm to hot water does it better.

Think about it this way.

You get up in the morning and your hair looks silly.

So you go comb it. Wow, still won't go down.

Put some cool water on it and yeah, it'll shape up a bit more, but still is stubborn.

Go take a hot shower, even if you don't use shampoo and you get out, your hair will do whatever you want it to.

warm water causes your hairs to stick out more too. that why if you ever get a hot lather shave with a real blade you'll be good for a couple days if you dont have to shave often.

i shower, then shaving cream followed by shaving with COLD water.

and maybe some nautica aftershave if i think ill have chicks kissing all over my neck. wink1.gif

 

When I was in the Navy, Many Sailors would shave their testacles in the bathroom before hitting each countries so they can bang some European chick. They would used mustache trimmers. I personally used my hands and plucked them out with my hands. I have maybe 3 hairs, nevertheless.

Nah i have a Braun electric razor (the one that cleans itself) and it shaves my face faster and is much smoother than my mach 3. Not to mention that i use it to edge up the 'burns and neckline

If the hair is short ill manual it in the shower, but if its longer, like now, the blade catches on the hairs and makes it a painful pain in the ass to do.

Oh when i do shave manual, i dont use any creams or gels.

 

I use an electric razor with titanium coated blades. I don't recall the name off-hand. It works well and I've got no complaints. I shave every day with it and have not changed the blades for a year and some change.
