Default RANDOM IS THIS TRUE???

the 6-speed manual on the Tuscani (Tiburon) is called the Z1 transmission. Same one as the one in the new BMW 7 Series.

Not bloodly likely. BMW and Hyundai have NO agreements to share technology or parts.

Some dude is sniffing too much starter fluid.

I've heard all kinds of "wild" rumors over there. Like the New Tuscani V6 isn't a hyundai motor, its a Mercedes motor...etc..etc..etc..

The car is damn close to 100% Hyundai. No parts from BMW's or Mercedes...

From everything I have seen, the 6 speed ONLY mates up to the V-6 Engine.

You could probably do a front wheel drive conversion on a sante fe and get the 6 speed to work, and maybe get it to work on another Hyundai V-6 of the same engine series, but it will probably NOT bolt up the 2.0L beta.

As soon as it is done in Korea, I'm sure Cheuk at Fxtreme or Boogyman will let us know.

The roumor came from the fact porsche helped with the design, which is part of that damn German auto group which all share technology, the idea and concept is the same as the bmw 7 series, but it's NOT the same beast. As for the 2.7 comming from benz, now I wanna try what that guy is smoking.

The Mercedes rumor was actually for the new 2.0L MAP equipped motors that the elantra has.

Gee, I looks JUST LIKE the old Beta motor, just a different sensor...but somehow they thought Mercedes made it? Come on.

I have the ordering manuals and the Shop Manual here on my desk. From a conversation with a Hyundai Technical person the engine is based on the same 2.7 engine being used by Hyundai in other models. The engine is in fact a Hyundai V6 2.7 all aluminum Delta engine, Power 167ps@6000(176ps leaded), Torque 25 Kg.m@4000. 2.0l Beta improvements: Better head ports, mechanical lash adjusters, aluminum oil pan, 138ps@6000 and torque of 18.5 kg.m@4500. The 6 speed gear box is only for the V6 and is, according to the guide, Hyundai development,no refernce is made to any other brand of vehicle manufacturer or OEM. In the ordering guide does not refer to it as an externally suplied part. As for the suspension where there is a mention to a SACHS (gas shocks) supension as an option. There will be a traction control option as well. Some Specs CR 10:1, bore 3.4133, and stroke 2.9528, Disp. 2656cc, Weight 8%more, 2.0L with Tappet instead of Hydraulics, Drag Coefficient 0,342(7% better), Height increase 15mm, wheelbase width 55mm more, overall width 30mm more, overall length 50mm more,5 lug wheels,4 discs, front rotor 15 inches, rear rotor of 14 inches wheels for V6 6.5x16 inch standard 7x17 inch with 215x45x17optional. I have never heard of the name you point out unless there is a USA version of the vehicle that is not in my ordering guide, which I doubt. Looks, looks nice to me!!! (cannot post pictures on the site). We are getting the first one on november 30, already in production. Start planing the twin turbos guys!!! According to preliminary calculations around 350HP at 15 psi!!
