Okay guys, so i just bought a Audiovox 8900 for Verizon service. I do not have them, can my cell phone company switch it over or will i have to get one of them unlocker things. My provider does not sell the 8900's anymore, thats why i got one elsewhere.

They should be able to use that phone. As long as it was a model that they used to sell.

 

is it verizon branded? then they can. if it's unlocked they can. but if it's some other companies phone they can't till it's unlocked.

 

why didn't you call your cell phone company before you order the phone...
some cell phone providers won't even let you use certain cell phone maker companies.

 

do a google search for "how to unlock cell phones"

 

yep, you'll have to unlock it.. had almost same problem but with the US cellular.
