So when I was at the pet shop yesterday picking up my new baby degus, I saw the weirdest thing. There was a puppy PUGGLE. In small writing, it said it was a cross between a beagle and a pug. You know how much this thing cost? $999.99. Tell me, since WHEN are mutts a grand? I thought those things were free.

Did you take any pictures? I'm like you, if it is a cross breed usually they are free or cheap ($50 or so). But, they tend to be in better health all around though since they arent inbred.

Nah, I don't have a picture. It had the body of a beagle, but the colors were dark brown and black meshed together. Its face was smushed like a pug. It was weird. Maybe a puggle is an actual AKC registered breed now? I know certain breed of spaniels have been added recently. Here are some pics I found online. Obviously, it's a recognized breed but... not registered or official. Weird people.

A friend of mine here had Labradoodles, they were some of the cutest dogs you've ever seen.
The male was the Labrador.

Oh, definitely. My uncle bought a beagle from this pet shop because he was sitting there for months and finally he became so low in price, my uncle took him before they put him to sleep. About a year into having him, he gave the beagle to me. The beagle started getting REALLY fat, got tumors, got gucky stuff in his eyes, and by the time he was 8, he was entirely too fat and weak to get around the house. He kept peeing everywhere and wouldn't eat, so we had to put him to sleep. We normally get all of our dogs from private breeders. We got one of our Springer Spaniels from Amish country, and our other Springer Spaniel from this family in Pennsylvania who doesn't normally breed, but had a litter. Both healthy and happy dogs. smile.gif

Nah, none of those look like this litter of labradoodles.
They were like minature labs, with curly white hair.
