So walking out of the restaurant today on lunch, I see this kid (looks like he's in high school still) get inside a piece of crap 1st gen Ford Probe. It was every shade of red, with a white hood, stock steelie rims on the front, and black aftermarket 17's on the rear. He goes to take off, and what do you hear after he lets up off the gas? A freaking insanely loud BOV sound. I laughed my ass off because:

1. No intercooler
2. No turbo whine
3. It was WAY too loud to be an actual BOV

Granted, I know some of the 1st gen Probes did come with a belt driven turbo, and there probably is a small chance that this kid was boosted, but I highly doubt it. So I'm willing to bet almost anything, he had the Sunami Turbo fake BOV speakers under his hood. I really really want to go back there now and ask the kid if I can see his mAd bOoSt sEtuP yO!

Did it say it was a GT or no? All first gen probe GTs were turbo.

 

Not sure if it was or not. I seriously dont think it was boosted though, because the BOV just sounded so unrealistic, as if he had like a bunch of speakers under the hood blasting the sound out when he let up off the gas. It was beyond loud. I'm sure the people inside the restaurant could easily hear it.
