That is really big news up here. On the cover of all Toronto Papers, Headlines read;


Canada Snubbed by Bush!

And it's true. It doesn't feel good. Especially after he thanked the Aussies!

This is the second time dubya did this. In Mexico during a speech he called Mexico their closest neighbors.

But I understand. He's got alot of things on his mind and sometimes even the simplest things can be innocently forgotton.

 

Too... keep in mind that he doesn't write his own speeches. It is his speeched writer who should get the lashings as well. That doesn't mean that he shouldn't have caught that discrepancy himself...

I have no use for these henny-penny political games of who thanked who and who forgot what, I still stand behind the US 100% I would like to think that our ego, as Canadians isn't do easily bruised. Especially at such a hard time.

As unfortunate a blunder as leaving Canada off the list was, the brink of war is neither the time nor the place to pause and bicker. Regardless of the speech, Canada knows that the US is appreciative for all it has done for us.

 

Also not to sound distasteful, but remember-he is not exactly the brightest man on earth lol...He's from TX so he probably thinks Mexico is the closest US neighbor cause it is closer to Texas ::shrugs::..
