What's everyone doing?

I still have no idea what I'm doing. That's unusual. I usually love the 4th but this year I don't care at all. I'll probably go somewhere.

 

never really cared for this holiday. i think growing up around sea world and seeing fireworks every weekend kind of killed it for me. i'm working that night so i guess it doesn't matter.

 

Blowing stuff up and BBQing. Theres a park near the housing track community I live in and every year they light off fireworks. You can see them perfectly in my backyard. So I'll most likely have a few people over for Beers and Burgers....blow holes in the ground, and enjoy the fireworks.

 

The holiday isn't about Fireworks, we just use them as something to spark up the party. Enjoy your independence by doing something else if fireworks don't do it for you.

Me, well, we'll be doing a small BBQ in the backyard and watching the counties fireworks from there too I suppose. We can see the entire valley from here, and get a great show from 8 or 9 different towns. Rib eyes, corn, potatoes, salad, you know how it goes.

Might light some off, but 3/4 of the stuff I blew up last year is illegal, so we may not.

 

Today is the day of the real fireworks. Fort Polk is blowing off a bunch tonight.

Tomorrow, I'll probly drink some beer, BBQ, drink some more, BBQ some more, do some programming, then when it gets dark, we'll show our love for our country by blowing up a small piece of it.

 

can i enjoy my independence by smoking weed? i think america needs to strike back against britain for this whoole BP sh*t. tea partyw as nothing, wait until tomorrow!

 

We got annexed by the city, no fireworks OR gun firing, to include BB guns. sad.gif

Plus my Darling Wife is 8.5 months pregnant with a history of delivery 0.5 months "early" with our 3 other children, so a) she doesn't get around very well and cool.gif might be celebrating 2 kinds of Independence on the 4th.
