ALright guys, so me and my dad try to play Medal of honor, and any games together with like my uncles, cousins etc.

And everytime we try to play in the same server, one of us keeps timing out, we cannot figure out the problem.

Routers are at default settings, we have a "Network everywhere" router*maybe could be the problem? haha*

I was just wondering if any of you pc techs/wiz's know what might be the problem.

btw, i have Charter Communications Cable connection, if that makes any difference.

Sounds like a bandwidth issue to me

Or maybe an IP confliction, can you both surf the web at the same time?

Try assigning specific 192.168.1.XXX IP's to each machine, that may fix it

Is it a server that you are hosting or when that's already going?

^^
yeah... thats what i figured already..had a brainfart : )

the only thing would be to force the IP on each machine....but in that case...<here i'm a lil confused> it own't anyway.. since oyu can't force the several IPs on your high-speed modem.. and eventually, all data sent to the server is one ip...

many servers will kick users for having the same IP..

Alright guys, we need to remember what a router does. Your cable company provides you with a single external (or public) IP address. The router is used to route information directed to that one public address to however many internal (or private) addresses setup or attached to the router. I have ran into instances where I cannot play online games from 2 pc's behind my router. This seems to be the case, and is only really resolved by either a)hosting your own lan game, or b)hooking the machines to their own public addresses.
