Parabolic heaters
Does anyone have one of these? I was thinking about getting a couple for my garage but I was wondering what kind of heat they give off.

Can you feel the heat from a distance and would it heat my garage ok or should I invest in a propane or gas heater?

A gas heater will be your best bet. Or, wire in a 240v electric heater. I gambled on a portable air conditioner with heat pump. Worked great this summer! Hoping the heat pump works just as well.
Parabolic heaters would be great at your work, facing you directly. I doubt they will heat an entire garage, at least here in colorado.
