After 10.5 years it is over folks. My paperwork got approved and I am heading back to Albuquerque NM to live my life OUT of the Army now. I will be flying on the 22nd of October and will probably not be on much for a month or so folks.

I'm so freaking nervous...

I'm nervous because I was raised in a Navy family, joined the Army as a Junior in High School, and have been in the military one way or another for my whole life. I'm getting out now.

Thanks for the offer man. I actually may fly into SeaTac. Hopefully there or SFO. But... Since I'll be leaving here in the morning and flying back in time, I'll actually get to the west coast before I leave Korea. If that makes sence. wink.gif I'm sure I'll be flying all the way thru in the first day. When I go to Cali for my 10 year reunion next year though, I will try to come up there. I've got friends there.



YOU can't wait. Dude, imagine NOT being able to DRIVE your car for 16 months?!?!? Not to mention that I've had to torture myself thinking of the pile of awesome shit at home for my who-ride.

My step-son is living in Charleston SC. We are going to drive out from NM to pick him up for Christmas break. I will be driving thru via 40, I want him to see the states some. Just looked on the map, and I will be going thru Nashville. We gots to hook up mang. That'll rule! Should be after the 10th.

 

Your like me Redz. I was raised in an Air Force family, did Army JROTC in high school, then I joined the Air Force the year before I graduated. So I was on delayed enlistment for one year. I was "out of the military" for my junior and senior year since my dad retired, I still had an ID and priveleges though. 7 years to go and I retire..... Congratulations!
