Okay, it was mentioned in a thread not too long ago and I thought it was a great idea. This could very well help with meets, and to put faces to names/screen names.
I can't remember who mentioned it, but what if we set of like an hour drive barrier around each member, and mapped it out to see how far we could get an item.
In the case of Patreezy and veiltib01, they have been doing some flowbenching for the forums, which is pretty damn cool IMO, and needed a manifold. How difficult do you guys see this as being.
1. As stated we set up a 1 hour barrier around each member who would like to participate.
2. The member would be required to drive a total maximum of 4 hours (1 hour to the item and back, 1 hour to the next member and back)
3. Item must be worth the drive. Site related as Patreezy and veiltib01 have shown, or even site related donations and the like.
I dunno, those are just some rules I was messing around with and thought I would share with you. I think it would be a good way to get together, and then anytime we need something for the site, we could utilize it.

True, unfortunately this idea is like communism, looks good only on paper.
I think it could work though as long as the item is worth driving that little bit.

let's get everyone's feedback and it things look good we could make a seperate thread dedicated to planning different routes and who's willing to drive when. We could exchange phone numbers (the two dopping off/picking up the part) so no one would get lost, not show up, screw everyone over.
It's a great idea, will save money for shipping a head fro say East Coast to here, AZ.

Yeah exactly, or if we have a show coming up or something of the sort that we would like to have an item displayed or what not, we could implement the plan. Hopefully we get a decent response.
