If your serious about that OBD-III thing, or even if your not and it happens, the first thing I would do is go buy me a standalone. LOL smile.gif

This is what you get when you want to live in a land of "freedom". And abiding to the law. 'course, the whole point of establish laws is to prevent people in check. But the more laws that become established, the more loopholes people will find. And for every loophole that's discovered, a bill is made to prevent people from using it. It's just a big cat and mouse game, and seriously, it's getting out of hand.

Eventually, OBD-III will be passed, and we're all gonna be fvcked...more or less. Why? B/c it'll have GPS tracking, not only to constantly alert you to engine problems ("supposedly" a much more accurate CEL), but it'll also monitor where you go and how fast you go. Eventually, like what On-Star did for a while, the information would be sold to the police, and then everyone's gonna get speeding tickets.

All in all...it's a vicious circle that we all have to face. Eventually, there will be no freedom left in this country. Sad. crying.gif

I don't see how that is a bad thing. Drive the speed limit. Stop engine problems before they start. If you roll in a ditch and no one is there, the car will send for help. We live in a country with A LOT of freedom, I don't see what is so bad about national ID cards. Germany, France, Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, Portugal and Spain all have national ID cards and people are still living normal lives.

^^COMmUNIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok sure its not bad if the car would be able to send out for help by itself if somethign was wrong but we dont want that on all the time, what if we are doing some stunt on purpose for some show or at a track or something we want the federalies there cuz of that? man, your a commie, lol no offense.

btw national id isnt bad, but when the pizzaman and other people who the info shouldent get into thier hands get that info, then its bad.

True that. Most of us don't speed and weave through traffic, but if we want to endanger ourselves on open roads with a little speed I don't see it as a problem. Granted I have been slowing down lately, I only drive fast when I get frustrated with something. Calms me down. smile.gif
