Hello people, I need to buy a new battery for my RD2 I was thinking at a blue top optima, but then I saw the Exide orbital in kragen autoparts, they said that both batterys are the same, I preferr the exide, cause the color, is all black..

I tried to do some research but I didn't found any reliable info.

What do you recomend to me?

Exide is junk. They make batteries for places like WalMart.
Optima is made by Johnson Controls, Inc. They make the DieHard. They are good.

i got a optima yellow top price wasnt cheap but havnt had a problem yet, and it lasts forever even wtihout the alternator and my stereo doesnt surge the lgihts either

I've never had a problem from my Optima blue top. What are you going to be running off of your battery? Why not just get a cheap factory battery from autozone with a 3 yr warranty?

Optima yellow top...al the way the one i had in my car in 04 is in my moms sonata.. its the shit i will never use anyting else..
and thats hard for me to make a choice like that...

What about the blue top compared to the yellow top. Isn't blue supposed to be for marine use or somthing?
