Hey guys, we have this client at work.. i work at a civil engineering firm so we work with developers all the time.. he said he wanted to race the tib once i had it turbocharged and told me he had a mercedes and im like 'sure, ill shut u up' well i was thinking he had like a reg mercedes, so with 18 psi and a BB turbo with forged internals, i wouldnt probably have that much of a problem getting close or spanking him. but he comes up to me today and is like when you wanna go for that!??!
i asked the mercedes model.. he said cl 65 02.gif ouch... hopefully its a 04 not an 05 according to the site i looked at 05 runs 11.8 sec 1/4 mile 0-60 in 3.8 sec the 04 runs 12.7 sec 1/4 mile.. if its 05 im just gonna shut up now. but if its 04 and thats in fact what it runs, i might be able to get close to that running higher boost, some race fuel, tuned, LSD, and the GT35 turbo. my biggest problem i think would be traction, which i will have to look into my options.. def. would be doing slicks, hopefully traction control bars, and Limited slip diff.
what do you guys think!?!?! if its 05 im not even gonna do it, but if its 04 i wanna try it out

is he that good of a driver? it's hard to put that much power down and run 11s if you're not experienced at the track..does he even have a manual, or is it one of those semi-manuals?
i hope you can show him up!

You're gonna need 300 or 400whp depending on the model.
If you have the internals, then why not put down the 400 right now?

lighten your Tib as much as you can.
I saw somewhere in the Internet *traction control* that helps in starts, you can select % of tire slipping. This may help.
Anyway 2.0 Tib vs 6.5 Mers is cool!!!
