Its called The Emulator. Its a large glass touch screen module that lets you control the music. Heres a small article on it:

I started laughing when I read this:
Nothing worse than getting the crowd pumped and throwing it up, just to have Windows lag due to insufficient memory and have total silence for 20 seconds, 2 minutes, or however long it takes to reboot Win 7.

It’s a multitouch MIDI controller (for Windows 7)

lol... I'm enVISIONing you in the middle of your set, and Windows freezes and starts repeating like a skipping record. At first people think it's part of the set, but after 30 seconds they're thinking "wtf is this guy doing?"
Happens once, and people laugh because of faulty software/hardware. Happens twice, and you're looking for a gig somewhere else.

I've had my laptop freeze up on me in the middle of a set. I always carry a small book of cd's with me as a back up in case something happens like that. Luckily when my laptop freezed, it was acting kind of weird right before it did it, and I was able to throw a cd in and mix into a couple of tracks that way before it locked up. I was able to restart it, and everything was fine after that point, but I know DJ's who are doing sets for hundreds and hundreds of people, and their laptop died, or their external HD took a dump and they lost all their music.
Not fun when it happens, but equipment failure WILL happen at least one time in a DJ's career.
