Another week, another female teacher getting caught having sex with male students as 28-year-old Erica Lynn Mesa, in the above mugshot and a former math teacher at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Va., has pleaded guilty to several charges stemming from a September 2014 arrest in which she was caught having sex with multiple students, ages ranging from 16 to 18 years old.
Additionally, she was also caught sending nude photos of herself to a 16-year-old student, for which she’s facing two counts of electronic solicitation of a minor. She faces up to 22 years in prison at sentencing on May 21.
Mesa had been married to a fellow teacher at the high school, Keith Mesa, who teaches social studies and coached the volleyball team with his wife. The couple had been married for just two years, although it goes without saying that they are no longer together.

In a confession obtained by Stafford Sheriff’s deputies, Mesa said she had sex with the boys, one of whom was underage at the time, because it made her feel “attractive and wanted.” She told how she had sex with one victim in a car in a commuter lot on his eighteenth birthday.
She also described how she had multiple students over at her house while her husband was away. She said she made one of the boys wait his turn in the basement while she had sex with another upstairs.
“She is not a pedophile,” her attorney, Mark Gardner, said in court Friday. “She was not preying on people who had no interest in participating.”
