i had my jaw broken about 2 years ago or so. i got hit with a crowbar from behind...long story. lets just say i wouldn't wish a broken jaw on my worste enemy. i had it wired shut for 2 months it was fractured not broken. if you havent got it wired shut yet i suggest you have a plastic surgion wire it shut he will do a beter job and i have heard storys of your teeth not lineing up with dentists.

i lost about 40-50 pounds and was having wet dreams about hamburgers and steak.

get lots of ensure! a drink that is suppose to help you with your energy and wieght
lots of medicine i suggest liquified percocet.(spelling is probly wrong)

try to keep your mind buisy. the strain that will be on your teeth will hurt allot. they wire a plate on top and bottom of your teeth then rubberbands will pull your jaws together. its ok for about two days then u will hate it.
as far as blending food its nasty and it will get stuck in the wires and rubberbands and you really cant mouthwash or brush so if you do blend get ready for a bad after taste.

if you smoke you are gonna have to blow it out your nose literaly. you can inhale through your mouth but it seems to go in better then out.

if you have any asshole friends they will try to argue with you and you wont be able to talk back good. forget about the phone unless you like repeating things 50000 times. play allot of games. really just try to make the time go faster cuz this is gonna suck bad.

hope you dont need to sneeze

its kinda wierd yawning with your mouth shut so good luck sad.gif

Yes my mouth right now is wired shut. I suppose to be like this for 6 weeks.

This is going to suck but let's hope I can get through this.

Thanks for the support.

Holy wow. You're very lucky that you didn't get any more serious injuries! At least count your blessings with that. I'm sorry about your jaw. 02.gif Are you on a certain diet? I mean, it's kind of gross to just blend up meals, so what did your doctor recommend as far as nutrition? Just keep yourself hydrated at all times and make sure you take in the proper vitamins.
