02.gif Learning how to drive a manual does not happen overnight (for most ppl). You need to learn how to release the cluch SLOWLY (it takes practice). Basically, to start let it out slowly until you feel it grab (so you know where the cluch grabs) and then you have to (still slowly) release the cluch while giving the car a little gas so it does not stall. It will take time, but after a while you will get the hang of it.

Changing gears is not hard at all, same thing, but the slow letting go of the cluch and slow giving gas is not as hard to do. After a while, changing gears will be second nature and you wont even think about it.

Getting moving is the hard part smile.gif Practice where there are no hills until you get the hang of driving it...

Yeah I agree getting moving is the real hard part. Well that and starting on an incline with a car up ur @$$. It isn;t too hard. For someone who has worked on their car as much as you have it is about time that you learned how to drive one lol.gif . If you need any pointers PM Trinia..... I am trying to teach her how to drive my tib maybe she can give ya a hand wink.gif

TC.. let me get my list for you... you can decide on a price and I can give you the cash in Philly.. while we are there, we can decide on what day is best for me to come up and get the parts... unless you think your b/f can find the wiper delay module under the dash for me?

I am, I talked to my boyfriend and he wants to go. Im not definite on it yet though cause I still gotta make sure that I get the car insured, registered, and I learn how to drive it by then.

Im hoping that I can just transfer insurance from the black tib to the silver tib, but Im worried that they might give me a hard time cause I have a loan out on the other car still.

Ok looks like I should have no problem switching insurance and registration over to the new tib. However I have to wait another day to get it and that only gives me like 3 days to learn how to drive it but I am confiident that I can do it.

Yes I would like to drive with everyone because I do know how to get to Philly but after that I dont know where we are going. I'll be honest, I didn't really read the thread so I have no idea where this meet is even being held lol.gif

I guess I should read the rest of the thread

I think you should be good TC... Some helpful hints in stickey situations... If you are on a hill and someone is right on your tail... use your emergency break to hold you in place... That way you can partially enguage the cluch so when you remove the emergency break, you wont roll back.

If you use too much gas, you will never stall... you will just spin your tires lol.gif

Patience and practice practice practice!

Give us updates on your learning experience... we all went through it smile.gif.
