Default North Carolina GOP proposes a Bill that could lead to an official State Religion

Per Huff Post

"The bill, filed Monday by two GOP lawmakers from Rowan County and backed by nine other Republicans, says each state "is sovereign" and courts cannot block a state "from making laws respecting an establishment of religion." The legislation was filed in response to a lawsuit to stop county commissioners in Rowan County from opening meetings with a Christian prayer, wral.com reported. "

So much for the Seperation of Church and State. Does their claim that the 1st ammendment doesn't extend to "Sovereign" states hold any ground?

If it passes, it's basically an Eff You to the Consitition and sets a precedent for states to do anything and everything they want.

Good Job Religious Conservative Republicans.

There is a decent chance these people were government-"educated" and don't know they are battling well-established laws and precedents.

Or they could just be trolling to distract you from the impending renewal of war with Korea
