Just curious of everyones experience with night sights. How long do they typically last before they start to dim?

I've got my eye on a set of Heinie straight 8's for my M&P but I don't want to drop the coin just yet

I have a glock light under mine (when it is in the house) to try and blind the person I am about to put a few new holes in.

Meprolight Tru-Dot orange/green

I prefer different colors for the front pin than the rear sights to more easily line things up in the dark. I've heard of people lining up the 3 dots incorrectly under pressure. The non-green colors don't last as long though. I've only had mine for about 2 years but they're still as bright as they were new.

^ I thought I had seen all the variants. That right there is superior. My carry pistol has blaze orange front and light green rear painted sights. The colors are backwards but the concept is the same.

I love them. I am completely confident in my ability to use the weapon in any lighting conditions. These are on my home defense Glock 22.
