because you have the same IP address most of the games will not let you log in twice with it.
Please reply on my PM man and send me the pictures of the muffler belt or you'll be in trouble!
Being the geek that I am, I'm going with OP on this one. IP issues. Set them both up to their own IPs, rather than obtain automatically. Make sure whichever one of you is the "host" has the "DMZ Host" set correctly on the router to their IP.

Also being a geek and having the same problem occur with many games over the same network, it was never the IP address. Many of the new games and even the old yet updated games (halflife for example) need to have 2 unique id's inorder to play in the same server. The ip address should have nothing to do with it, the games normally authenticate to there keys and if there are 2 of them in the same server it will kick one out, or halt the connection
Um ... Medal of Honor:Spearhead. Anyone play? if so, got xfire www.xfire.com add me 5harkmobile smile.gif But i have cable, and i dont know how to make each pc have its own ip,with it being able to get internet still.
I had a problem with Red Alert 2 like this.... it was because you had to purchase two games, even for lan play(you needed different cd keys and cds).
I don't think it's the IP. Like I said me and my friends have never had a problem with it, and we play fairly new games like: Black Hawk Down, Battle field 1942(desert combat), Jedi Academy, and Joint Operations.
It might be game version. If you have a different one then the server it won't work right.
