I found a gen1 tibby going cheap. I'm wondering if anyone is willing to drive out there and give it a good once over and hopefully take it for a test drive.

Anyone help a brotha out?

One way air fare is only $200, so I'd fly out there and drive the thang back in a weekend (anyone wanna pick me up at the airport and drive me to Grove City?)

The engine is a powerful fuel injected 6-cuylinder backed by a manual 5-speed transmission.

The odometer reads just 94,142 miles and according to the title and paperwork, these miles are branded as being actual. Wow, a low mile Hyundai for NO RESERVE!

lol, first time I've ever heard anything over 50k called low miles!! laugh.gif:

not to discourage you there random but I personally don't see why your going so out of your way to get this imparticular tib. by the time you get it to cali your going to have as much in moving it as the tib costed. (factoring in time, gas, plane)

wave.gif Glad to have you 'not back', buddy.

YOU KNOW if you found one in my area, or even a few hours away ( I think there was one in IL), I'd pick you up @ KCI (Midwest DID have fares from here to LAX for $99 a while back(I know it's headed the wrong direction for you, but you'd think they'd offer something similar)), I meant to offer before you made this post even.
But.. um.. 10 1/2 hours and 675 miles is a WAYS from here.

So, $100 for the plane tix, about $120 to drive it back to CA from here, and yeah, I should know how much it costs to drive a Tib cross-country. Not bad for a weekender. wink1.gif

That would be fun to do, fly somewhere and drive back. Kind of like flipping through a magazine, then going back and reading it.

Honestly bro, I think you've just not been around long enough to know about Random.

Basically whats going to happen is this.

He will find a car, somewhere, anywhere, as long as its:

1. Cheap

2. Manual

3. Not Rev A but still 1st Gen.

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. Cheap cheap cheap.

So why does this newbie want to do this. Only because he's basically what we in the hyundai crowd would call a "guru" or "Godfather" (if you liked Oldschool)

He'll get the car as long as it fits the budget despite the long drive home. He'll call over the locals to help him tear it up, and he'll rebuild it faster than most of the guys on the boards. He'll get so scientific on his posts about his crazy project you'll have to pull out the hyundai shop books with schematics just to keep up with what he's talking about.

More or less, we have a Nut here ladies and gents, and no little distance of driving will keep him Tibless.

the truth has been told.
