ok so i just got 3 grand from my grandma..... now the big question is, should i turbo the tib. OR should i buy a 240sx for 3 grand, then sell the tib and get a sr20det swap..... i really cant make up my mind.... i mean rwd, drifting....or unique, etc. could you guys post up what you think of each set up and what you think would be better. i think itll make it easier for me to decide that way..... lol. also my other grandparents come tomorrow, so i may get even more money, but only time will tell.
btw the swap, i would do it myself but try to match it as close as possible to the xatracing parts.
S14 SR20DET Stage 1 performance pkg ~ 250 RWHP includes: low mileage S14 VVT SR20DET motorset,
Greddy VSPL Front Mount intercooler, Walbro 255 fuel pump, 3inch Downpipe, GReddy Type-S bov, custom hotpipe, small battery, FLEX-A-LITE electric fans, Manual Boost Controller, Megan Racing Full 3" cat-back exhaust system, brand new organic clutch disc with resurfaced flywheel and pressure plateall fluids, plugs, working and charged a/c, power steering, and installation of motor and all parts. - $6388
THATS WITH LABOR. so i think i could do it for a lot less, like 4 grand or so, the tib selling price, hint hint.

while RWD is a nice thing to have in a sports/sporty car. I Personally do not see the allure of drifting. One of the dullest "sports" to watch. I rank it right up there with watching NASCAR

well...... hmm..... if it was me i would sell the tib and get the 240!! for sure! but i really like the 240's, and they are unique... have a huge aftermarket, look great, and most importantly RWD. o and they can make huge power, just like alot of other motors, but lets not forget the RWD thing.
i always keep my eyes peeled for 240's in my area..... would love to have one....
so this is just my biased opinion

All comes down to the condition of the 240SX you find... if you can get a decent body, with drivetrain, suspension, etc. all in good working order for a decent price, then I'm all for it.
Putting down ~250whp in an older car with a worn drivetrain/suspension is not the smartest thing to do. The engine isn't everything.

^^ good point. i would have to find one with a decent drive train. and then probably upgrade the suspension. alright thx for the opinions, keep them coming, oh im starting a poll.
nm, cant start a poll.... right now i think im leaning a little towards the 240sx, a 93 or 95. ill have to look up my nada value for the tib though. man so many ways to go about this, i just dont wanna screw it up as it would be my first time selling a car or buying one on my own.
