Need Computer help - Win XP
K, this has been buggin for a few days
I'm reinstalling XP on my friend's laptop (legit copy, actually it's a restore CD)
Anyway, did all the updates and such, but ofcourse once you plug it to the internet, you get the CRAP load of spyware and XXXtoolbars and crap.
Anyway, got rid of most of them, I had installed Adaware, spybot, and Norton's before I connected to the net.
Anyway, now the only problem I have is this app that keeps coming up. It's running in the background, it's a trojan, I'm sure. Here's what happens:
Turn on PC
TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD
when it's "up", and let say I try to open Windows Explorer,... it take FOREVER.
Or I try to open up IE. When it finally opens I get the "page cannot be displayed".
Now if I go to task manager and I disable "wstcl.exe" (sometimes there's 1 instance, sometimes more) everything runs fine afterwards, and it works until I reboot again, when this damn file loads up again.
I've ran spy sweeper, ad-aware, norton's, stinger, and a couple of other online sites that runs virus scans on your cpu. And it still doesn't find it, I've found some other virus' and pop ups and such, but this damn file is still there.
I've search google and this is the only thing it comes up with:
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=wstcl.exe&meta=
Kinda not very helpful.
Anyway, anyone know how I can get rid of it, or what trojan it is?
Atleast I can then figure out how to get rid of it, if I know what it is.
THanks

First problem:
1. Don't use winblows
2. Don't use IE www.getfirefox.com
3. Make sure you have service packs/security updates installed before going online.
