I live one mile from Interstate 24. I drive this EVERY DAY. This video is 15 miles from my house, half way between me and downtown Nashville where I work.

Downtown Nashville is under water. 12-15" of rain in the last 24 hours. Most rain ever recorded for Nashville in a single day.

This video shows a portable classroom that was swept away onto the interstate. The interstate is 4 lanes wide on each side. You can't even see some of the cars because of the water depths.

oh yeah, this video is from yesterday afternoon. It's STILL raining.

I love the irony of the Road Ends In Water sign, lol.

Man I'm from Houston and that ain't sh*t!

j/k that's terrible. Especially when the roads start getting washed out, it gets super expensive to inspect EVERYTHING in the city. Expect service disruptions of all sorts for a while. 02.gif

The hospitals are reporting flooding in their basements and ERs. The airport is shutting down flights, not because they can't take off or land, but because people can't get to or from the airport.

May want to have some water saved and off to the side, i heard that the power was out alot of places. Not to mention with flooding local water tables and storage areas could become tainted.

We have 50 bottles of water. No bread, some milk.

My city (Murfreesboro) was very lucky - it was bad yesterday, but many of the storms today missed us. Nashville had over 7" of rain today (24 hr. record) and just shy of 7" yesterday (almost 14" total in 2 days). It's MAY 2nd and this is already the wettest May on record, ON THE SECOND DAY!!
