^^ sorry about what happened. I have flushed and filled my cooling system every 30,000 miles. I have never changed my water pump before. I'm going to for my 120,000 mile tune up.

^^last time i heard tibs were only assembled in korea. might have changed now though. I think they only build their higher selling models there, sonata, santa fe, maybe the new azera.
just found this:
http://www.hyundaiusa.com/abouthyundai/usi...ent.aspx#link03
only sonata and santa fe, everything else must be assembled in korea.

Yep, the sonata and the NEW santa fe are assembled in the USA. The only thing that is not assembled in the USA are the Manual transmissionsand various other parts.
It's funny when our tour guide brought us to the Manual Transmission- Engine mating assembly building. He said "We're going to bring you to a place where we mix Korean culture with American culture".

As you were driving through TN and hit Nashville on I-65, you could have taken a trip to the Nissan plant while you were here. We could have met up for lunch or something.
Plan your trips better, you probably drove through cities that have a few forum members.
That's what we're hoping to do for NOPI Nationals

Thats awesome. We should get a HUGE meet going and have RDTIBURON take a tour through the Hyundai plant...Like a middle school field trip.

Damn, i should of planned so I could meet some of the rare owners of RD1's and 2's.
2 hours is definitly worth the trip. I was going crazy because I was so amazed. I've seen robots making car parts at Johnson Controls, but this factory is 20 times better.
Not to mention the hot Southern secretary at the main visitor center and the gift shop.
Southern girls with Southern Accent= yumyum.gif
By the plant there was a HUGE Confederate flag and it was labled "pray for our fallen confederate soldiers". I just found out today that behind the flag was a white supremecist base. I was about to stop by and take a picture, thank god my instincts said not to.
