Im my spare time today my friends and I decided to make a potato gun.

I has not launched a projectile yet but it does work and safty precautions will be taken when we do launch it.

90% of the materials were found at home depot (PVC pipe)

The others were the ignitor from a mini grill and some wire.

That is an OK gun. i have made some pretty amazing guns, but I am a plumber/pipe fitter and have access to better material. That is a good starter gun, although the Pizo ignitor will probably evetually plug up with what ever you are using to go boom. Have fun, but take a minute to look at the gun every few shots, because the PVC will eventually start to break down, I am pretty sure that is only schedule 80 PVC

Got some vids. These arent the best shots we had. The farthest werent caught on tape. Had one shot go 500 feet easy. We were using a foam ball and a rock on top of the ball.

sweet! I'd like to see that thing shot in mortar mode, or a handle on it so that it's more natural to shoot it by hand. Great fun!

Well the other day my friends and I went to Fire off the potato gun some more and on our way our we decided to go down a path that we had seen many times before but never investagated. Keep in mind he has a 07' Pontiac G6 GTP coupe, lowered, fwd. And we decided to go off-roading.

^^^ Check the potato gun under the wheel, LOLZ haha.gif.

Anywayz we got it stuck and after about an hour and me callin in to my work to tell them i would be able to make it in, we were free by the help of my dad with his Jeep. Big thx to my pop. Just another chapter in the dumsh*t book on our part. BTW i fixed the sud gun and were contemplating making a 3incher (diamater of barrel) to be able to launch cans.
