after seeing all my buddies having so much fun with their trucks out in the mud, i decided that i needed one also. i found this beast on craigslist and paid $1400 for it. it's a 1988 F-250. it has a 460 v8 with auto tranny. it's got somewhere around 14 inches of lift sitting on 39.5x15x15 swampers. it has it's various issues, but nothing too serious.

Nice ride for MUD, I like off-roading too, but I prefer the sand dunes at the desert or at the beach...

gonna say it...

i see that sitting in your front yard more than it being on the road with a 460 in it and $4/ gas.

all the 4x4 guys in my area are selling their trucks (whether it is a toy or not) and getting motorcycles.

after getting it home the other day (after a serious over heat) the engine started a pretty bad knocking. my buddies and I came to the conclusion that a new engine was needed. I found one on craigslist for pretty cheap and bought it. we started the process of tearing out the old engine and putting the new one in on friday. we finally got the old one out and found out what was wrong; a bad bearing. we are pretty close to having the new engine ready, and will probably drop it in tomorrow.
