I would have gotten an core 2 duo either e6300 or a 4300 and oced the shit out of it :-P (you can get the 4300 up to 3.0 ghz no problem)

Nice system though and for the price you can beat that, newegg is awsome. i just built a computer for my friend cost him 740 shipped and it a pretty kick as system

Nice system. My only difference would have been to go with a Western Digital Raptor Drive. With a spin speed of 10,000 RPM, they rival faster SCSI systems or RAID arrays with the only downside being the smaller sizes. I noticed a HUGE improvement in performance when I upgraded my main drive to a Raptor and used my bigger drives for storage. That CPU with that RAM is such a great combination! All in all that is a very nice computer setup!

From what the reviews said on newegg that this athlon is easily overclocked and stays very cool while you do it, thats why I picked this up... plus it was a good price with free shipping smile.gif

The athlon is great for overclocking. However, you really need a good cooling system or should think about going liquid cooled if you plan to overclock. Heat is your enemy!

I'm going to see how it runs at the speed it is supposed to.. temperature wise before I overclock it.

thats always a good Idea :-P.

I guess im biased towards the intel because I got one :-P. But athlons have always been good for over clocking just when i read reviews on those 2 and were getting 3.0 on air cooling i was like WHA!?!?!

Anyway good luck with the computer its still an amazing system for the price
