After seeing Spiffywork's Tib and seeing his bumper, it made me realized something. My front bumper is unusually strong or something. Just earlier some guy reversed his Vectra and hit me. No damage, not evan a scratch. He got a teeny scratch, due to me plates. And also, when we 'fishtailed' ourselves into the weeds and hitting the concrete gutter, the bumper was a bit unseated from it's position and nothing else! The metal underside was crumpled, though, and we had it hammered out.

Are Hyundai bumpers unusually sturdy, or is it just me? dunno

 

you have a stock bumper?

 

stock bumpers are much stronger than fiberglass body kit bumpers.

Also, he has a gen2 tibby, you have a gen3 elantra. Very different bumper design/shapes there. Your bumper is stronger just due to it's shape compared to the gen2 tib bumper.
