Winters here vary greatly, but overall they're wet and a typical day will be frozen in the morning but thaw out quickly when the sun rises. We usually get snow 3-4 times a year (in the lowlands west of the Cascades) and one of the snowstorms will usually have at least a few inches of accumulation. Sometimes we will get a foot and a half of snow, but that's only once every decade or less.

We had quite a bit here in Nebraska, the past month we had near blizzard conditions, 12 foot snow drifts all along major streets, our town was snowed in for a good four days. Its just now starting to melt, it was horrid, and we have more chuck holes than driveable streets now.

Here in upstate NY...we havent had too much snow this year. Just ALOT of really cold temps. I think we've only gotten like 2 or 3 snow storms that dumped more than 6 inches. But lately its just been an inch or two here or there. Very unusual considering theres usually a TON of snow this time of the year.

46 days until the first day of spring!!!

Yeah we're pretty lucky that the currents pull warm water up along the coast from the tropics, otherwise we would be a frozen wasteland considering that we're 500 miles north of DC lol.

They are calling for more snow here in VA and I don't want any more snow. It was so cold outside this morning I had to jump start the car.
