Modchip for New PS2?
I just got one of these new PS2's, the thin one. I have searched around but can't find anything about modchips for them. Are there any available?

I've heard of that. I had to do something like that once just to get a DVD to work on it. I know a co-worker did the same. I just put in a game to fool it and threw the burned DVD in. I doubt it would work for games but that's cool.

no it does work for games, i have one for DVD's and one for games, it came as a package. It also came with another shell for the PS2 so that you could access the disk so that the PS2 didnt know you were. if my phone wasnt being stupid i would take some pictures and post them.. stupid technology, lol

The program is called Swap Magic, it does work pretty well. The latest version (3.3) is supposed to work with the new ps2's. And no, downloading and burning it doesn't work. You also need a flip top cover or a slide card (I have a flip top). The thing I found though is some backup games load very slow, even burning at 1x on Ritek G04 DVD's.

java take it back! i'll get you a code 2 ps2 if you want! i don't know about mod chips for the "new" playstation. I have the code 1 "new"playstaion. It's pretty cool. Much easier to take TDY.
