Manual or Automatic??
#4
Mine is a 5-speed. I think the shifter feels funny, and if I drive it more often than my truck my truck driving skills are off a bit. The clutch pedal in the truck is so much different. I enjoy the feeling of the car though. I've only owned 2 autos out of my 5 vehicles. The first was my very first car, an 89 ford escort, and the second was a Saturn SL1 [95] The saturn had ATX problems when you'd shift into reverse, it'd slam. I'd not go back to an automatic for a small car. Only for a large truck [larger than my ranger] or a SUV of sorts.

i have an auto cause it was the only one left on the lot...luckily though because i can't drive a stick. i mean, i've been taught and i could prolly get somewhere if i HAD HAD HAD to, but i like my auto tranny. although, when i see paul walker shift in that Skyline, i drool. wink1.gif i know people think the Fast and the furious movies are gay, but you know what...hot cars and hot guys. i mean holy crap. doesnt get much better...teehee

cjme..you should learn standard. it's HOT seeing a girl know how to handle a stick wink1.gif
the main reason why i bought my tib was the fact that it was a stick. It's my first standard, and i'm prolly never goin back to an auto unless the vehicle is huge: like if i can afford an Escalade or somethin tongue.gif

manual....for a couple of reasons :
1.) When i bought my RD2 in april of 2000, there were only two on the lot....a base model cardinal red manual and a blue decked out auto.
2.) Easier to rebuld/service
3.) Better gas mileage (if driven how hyundai recommends, **** that)
4.) Much more reliable w/ mods and less drivetrain loss
