You can actually smell how butthurt the police got. Those loop holes are VERY scary and should be stamped out immediately. Officers are public servants, performing their duty IN PUBLIC.

This is not videotaping some guy in his home, this is videotaping public employee performing their public service while on duty. W-T-F
Similar law in Mass but after trying to convict someone using this pathetic loophole a judge basically said 'get real' and created a precedent for dismissing similar cases.

As long as you're in public video taping, recording, or photographing events happening, you're within your rights. The wiretapping statue does not apply in this case.
I've looked into these laws and rights as a photographer myself, and he (and all the others videoing and recording) are well within their rights.
