Default Man arrested for having Police Interceptor

Whats interesting is that those cars are everywhere around here. You can buy them from a couple of auctions. They're decommissioned, and theres no light bars on the roof, but they still have the push bars, fog lights, and the police interceptor badges. Usually 9 out of 10 times, its some old person driving them though. laugh.gif

video can't play for me, and no pics. Did it have markings of a police vehicle, stickers/paint?

How is it any different than rent-a-cops? Or security vehicles?

No light bars - not a violation. Push bars and fog lights are legal. As long as it doesn't say L.A.P.D. on the side or have light bars, then it's fine.

stupid meter maid cop

I almost bought one for my first car. Went to the auction but the prices were really high.

Anyways, see them ALL the time. And majik they still have a small police interceptor badge in the back.

Cliffs for those who can't see the video:

They said it had a siren, push bar, and Police Interceptor badges. The PI badges were put there by Ford and the push bar is or should be legal . . . a siren is probably pushing it according to the letter of the law, and that's probably what they're trying to nail him for unless the News isn't telling the whole story (possible). He was originally pulled over for window tint (another thing that shouldn't be a crime) and then the cop decided to have a closer look . . . the genius apparently admitted to impersonating an officer

Police are saying he "may have" pulled people over in the car. They are really grasping at straws and they know it, so they're asking for idiots who stopped for a car with no red/blue to come forward to the police.

Here what he has is perfectly legal. I don't know about wherever he got arrested though. I severely doubt that it's illegal though unless he tried to impersonate an officer.

It's just an old white LE package Crown Vic just like the thousands of other cars that have been auctioned off.

I didn't get the impression that he had been impersonating an officer, just that he had the car because he wanted to be an officer.
