An Oregon man is facing charges for repeated calls to 911 over a hamburger. Twenty-three-year-old Jeremy Martin was arrested at an Oregon McDonalds early Friday morning and charged with improper use of 911.
Martin first called 911 to complain about his order, but the dispatcher told him it was not an emergency. After several calls, Martin finally told a dispatcher that someone at the restaurant had a gun pointed at his head.
The 911 transcripts have been released.
911 call #1:
Martin: "I was at a McDonalds and I paid $10 and these guys gave me one burger and fries that's it, man.”
Operator: "Sir, this is not a 911 emergency; 911 is only for life and death situations."
911 call #2:
Martin: ""Oh my God, the lady at McDonalds has a gun pointed at my head. Send a cop right now."
Operator: "Does she have a gun pointed at your head?"
Martin: "Yup. You're going to send me a cop."
Operator: "Yes, I'm going to send you a cop."
When officers arrived they found nobody with a gun and arrested Martin. One thing he's probably not lovin' is that Martin was taken away from McDonalds on an empty stomach. He was denied his burgers and fries.
