Looking for something possibly in the size of and LCP, .22 and at least somewhat accurate. It would be used to keep in a pocket or handy for small things.
Any ideas?

Walther P380
Same size as a Walther P22 and has some semblance of knockdown power.
A .22 is better than a pocketknife, I've packed my Walther P22 before but it's inadequate for the job. The .22 is plenty lethal, but if it doesn't stop the person before he's able to harm you it doesn't do you much good. I currently pack a Sig Sauer P230SL. It's a solid, accurate, and reliable pocket .380 ACP. It's heavier than most pocket .380's (made of stainless steel, most have aluminum frames) but that allows me to shoot Buffalo Bore hard cast 380+P loads which equal the power of some 9mm defensive loads without risking damage to the weapon or failures.
The Bersa Thunder is another good .380 option that's pretty cheap. You can also consider a compact revolver in .38 special or the far superior .357 Magnum, both of which will fit in your pocket.
If you're packing in a pants pocket, there are several makers of nice breakup holsters that basically sit in your pocket and keep your pistol from "printing", in other words looking like you have a pistol in your pocket.
If you're going to pack a pistol make sure that you're in compliance with all laws applicable to you. They take it very seriously even if you don't.
