Okay, found a 2000 tib auto for $6000. Question is that a good price? I'm not sure. The car has 29k, and is in pretty good shape. want to buy, but don't want to pay to much.

only 29 thousand miles? thats pretty damn good. the price is average. try talking down to about 5500 or so. never go with the asking price. there's always room for price changing.

as long as the car is mechanically sound, and in good shape... go for it. you won't be disappointed wink1.gif

the only negative is the transmission..... standard is the ONLY way to go tongue.gif

only 29K?!?!
Wow
Definetly take it to YOUR mechanic or someone you know who has a mechanic they can trust to check it over.

Things to look out for:
- Leaky / cracked Exhaust manifold
- Wheel bearings
- Make sure the maintenance has been done. Ask for reciepts! Make sure stuff like rad flush has been done, regular oil changes, and since it's an auto, make sure tranny flush and filter has been changed. Just to be safe. Don't need it till about 48k, but it'll need one soon.

I'm sure I'm forgetting other stuff to look out for, but I'm sure the other guys will add their 2 cents smile.gif

Where are you getting this at? Private sale or dealership?

Thanks for the offer, but want a RD2. Already have an RD. It's a private seller. So $5500 would be a good price, if Ican get it?
