Default Longest wait for scheduled appointment?

Waited 45 minutes past appointment time. I'm sure that's not the worst but still grumpy about it. Usually I book first thing in the morning so this can't happen but today I didn't have the choice.

45 minutes somebody better be dying in the chair. 15 minutes is long enough to complain and 30 is enough to need a convincing explanation from the receptionist or else be leaving. If a doctor is routinely over-scheduling, that doctor or his staff sucks. If you can find a different one, that might be worth considering. Your time should be *more* valuable to them than their own seeing you're the one paying the bills.

Why are you complaining?

If doctor would see me in 30-45minutes after appointment it would be great! Waiting 2h after schedule appointment is… normal.

For specialist in hospital you must wait 6-8 months to get appointment and if you break a leg and go to ER in hospital you know that you will wait for 4-5hours from when you come to hospital till time you get immobilisation for leg.

Well you get what you pay for... and we pay through the nose! I paid several days' wages but I saw a specialist for a minor complaint in about a week. Most doctor appointments, I am seen within 15-20 minutes at most if they are running behind schedule.

People complain about high cost here, in USA, but nobody minds the fast service. In places with universal health care systems, the people don't seem to mind the high taxes and they like the system . . . until the first time they get very badly sick.

Everything is how you look at it…

You may look that we have universal health care and that it is cheaper way but it isn’t… if you need urgent medical care you have to pay that in private medical clinics.

On my pay (714USD) they are taking me 190USD for health care per month and I don’t have any choice.

Went to sick call (had appt), showed at 0730,... wasn't even taken to the back until 1000 because there were people there that were a higher rank than me. Gotta love the military.
