Long Time Since I've Been Here
What's up everyone? Sorry it has been so long since I have been on the site, life has just been busy. I bought a house about a year ago and have been trying to maintain it as well as do some projects around the house. I got engaged and am getting married March 11 (3-11 day :-D ) We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon. All at the same time trying to land a new job that I am waiting to hear back from. So comes the dilemma of starting a new job and going on the cruise... do I cancel the cruise so I don't look like an ass on the new job, or explain it to them and see what they say?
I haven't worked on my car much since last I posted pictures after I got it out of the shop. For those that don't remember, I have the '01 silver cuda with everything shaved and sides and rear molded.
I guess about the only thing else I have been doing is working on my new tattoo. I knew I wanted something meaningful this time instead of some off-the-wall piece, like i have on my right arm (tribal I kind of regret, and want "fixed" somehow) So I thought and thought and came up with an idea. I went to All or Nothing Tatoo in Smyrna, GA after a reference from a guy on a local forum here. I went in and talked to a guy named Dave Tedder, told him what I wanted and made an appointment for a few weeks later. I came back and he had something drawn up and I went with it. It took 4 sessions to finish and now it is up on his page on the shop's site. I suggest anyone close to GA that wants a piece done, seriously consider these guys. I believe if you come from out of state they take that expense off of the cost or your piece. You would have to call to confirm that though. I know Brandon Bond is booked about 3 months in advance, and Dave Tedder is booked about a month or two in advance.
Anyway, I just wanted to post and say what's up and let everyone know what's been going on. I'm hoping I'll actually make it to NOPI Nats this year.. i've only been saying it for the past few years and i live like 30 mins from the track. Hopefully I can finally meet some of you.

Good to see you again.
My advise is to contact that company, tell them you are very interested in the job but have this other thing planned and paid for and see if they will work it out with you. If not, tell them you are willing to cancel or something, but give them a shot at moving the date.
Would you really want to work for a company that didn't work with you?

BTW, I had a similar issue when I was starting my last job before I started school.
President Bush was working on getting re-elected and was coming back to NM again. I wanted to see him speak and managed to get a ticket for me and my son. The speech was during my first day of work and I went in earlier and showed them the tickets and talked to them about it. They gave me the time off and still paid me for it. Sorta like going to vote. Anyways, it all worked out great.
