Every so often, I see what looks like a little black hose or tube laying across the road. I'm pretty sure it's something to do with traffic or measuring cars or something like that. Occasionally I've seen like 3 in a row, all within the same 2 miles or so. Any specifics?
Here's my hypothesis: I've heard it can measure speeds of the cars going over it, so I'd assume they're doing some sort of survey to find the average speed of cars crossing it. They'd probably use this data to either: raise the speed limit, or add more police in that area. Assuming the former (latter doesn't make as much sense), I've lately been running over them as fast as possible cool.gif So I'm just curious if I'm actually doing any good, or what the deal is with those.

If you only see one hose, they're measuring the volume of traffic on the road. If you see 2 hoses a few fet apart from each other, they're measuring speed.

So I guess if you want them to build more roads, go back and forth over it many times lol

What if it's 3 hoses and a dead homeless man laid across the road?

measuring speed, seeing if your speeding up, and slowing you down with a speed bump

I hate those things. A truck once was infront of me and dislodged it - it slapped the shit out of my hood, leaving a large dent.

From then on, a few times I've purposely locked up my front tyres (when I was 18 and I had a 89 Topaz that was prone to burning) and ripped them out.

Once I did a burnout on one back when I had that stellar that had no rear brakes... making brake stands VERY easy!

Also, I saw some kids jumping on them wildly by my buddies house, the next day it was in peices. I think they had cut it up or something.... lmao.gif

That's vandalism man, no go. mad.gif
I was just trying to see what the data gathered and how it was used. Destroying them is destroying government property, you know the consequences for that...
