Here's one thing I know from experience: 98% of the people who say the Swagelok Tube Fitting system is prone to leak, do not know or practice the guideline that a properly-tightened Swagelok fitting is fingertight +1.5 turns. The other 2% are too cheap to buy new fittings or ferrules.

i should be more specific and mention that my knowledge mostly expands only to automobile applications.
