man a 00 for home protection? that would go through the burglar, outside through the tib, into the neighbors house through is tv and into the next county.... lmao.gif
I have one sweet paintball gun for home protection. Pop em in the face about 10 or 15 times and I think they'll give up. Or at least it'll level the playing field if it's a big dude. If that doesn't work then we bring out the actual guns...like redz double action pellet gun. fing02.gif Then finally move onto the 38 and rifles.
Really I think the best for home protection is a good alarm system.

I really think you are blowing things out of proportion Frog. the days of old, stay in the old, simple as that. Having to go out and shoot game to survive will probably never exist again. I hunt to enjoy the outdoors, not to "stay in tune" with what nature is doing.
go drink a coke, eat a hoho, watch some wrestling, and finally don't buy into all the hype.

Maybe but i think its a great idea if The Shit Hits The Fan (SHTF). I dont think i was buying into the hype, just something to consider. Blowing things out of proportion would be paying you to travel up here and weld a couple of surplus cargo containers together. LOLOL.
Did some research on the SKS. Ammo is expensive for it but looks decent.

Ammo for the SKS isn't that expensive, especially if you buy it by the LOT at a gun show or online.

Not a bad price. I usually get leftover war stock stuff from Russia or the Czech republic.

That comes out to about .61 per round.
Here's 500 rounds for $115.
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=115384493
that's about 23 cents a round.

1000 round case, 20 cents a round.
Hell, you can get it at walmart.
BTW, you hit someone with 7.62, they are usually staying down for the count.
