Well Guys. Road trippin' is my hobby and My one of my lives. I"m going from Michigan to New York to New Jersey to Virginia to Alabama(Tour the Hyundai Plant AGAIN) back to Michigan. I bought a backpack gas stove to cook my canned tomato soup and vegetarian beans. I'm also in the process of making a bed so I can sleep in the trunk with the seats down.
My car has 130,000 miles on her and she's still holding. I just replaced the : water pump, timing belt, oil, coolant, and about to change the struts. Currently I'm contemplating whether or not to change the tires. I just bought a radar detector and shopping for a navigation system.
Because of my lack of time, I'm traveling non-stop, sleeping at gas stations and rest area's and cookin my beans. The only time I will really stop is to watch an indie concert with my brother in law in New York. Oh well, I love my car.

I always just sleep in the driver's seat. When i get done driving 16hours I don't feel like re-arranging my trunk. Plus it's usually too dark to do so. Also, if I want to turn on the car in a manual, I have to depress the clutch. It would be a PITA if I had to get going quickly because of a douchebag at a rest stop or something and there was a bunch of stuff in the front seat blocking my way.
I can't wait for my next road trip.

I would love to meet you guys but this will be an ultra-fast journey.
I've done some rough calculations:
Total Miles to Drive: 2826 Miles
Average Miles per Gallon: 31 MPG going an average of 70 MPH
Estimate cost of gas per gallon: Let's say $2.30
Consumption of Fuel: 91 gallons
Total Estimate cost of fuel: $209.00
Total cost of maintenance, repairs and parts: $900
Total cost of stove, food and other accessories: $70
Grand Estimate Total: $1179.00
DANG I LOVE MY CAR.
