the auction stated 10% was goin to be donated.
its not like she wasnt up front about it in the first place, i agree it was done with the wrong intention but if people were confused/jaded over this they shouldve read the terms before bidding

That would be the main point. If she's selling clothes to raise money for charity work, the expectation is that 100% of the money will be used for actual charity. If the guy ringing the bell outside walmart was lining his pockets with 90% of the cash in his bucket, he'd be hung out to dry.

I didn't see the auction, but if she states 10% donated then it's her call. But that's a really low percentage for someone who's already got plenty of money. I give to charities all the time but I didn't ask Toys For Tots to cover a portion of the radio controlled car I dropped off this morning. Situations like this are why people associate wealth with greed. For years I didn't even report my donation on taxes because I personally felt weird getting government money for giving mine away.
