I have been in the AF for 14 years and 10 months today. My first five years I was all over the place. I went to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Somalia, Kenya, Peru, Germany, England, Honduras, Azores, Egypt, Bosnia, Afghanistan, etc. I have been lucky and have not had to go anywhere for the past ten years.
so i dont really know you... but appreciate the site and everything you've done for it.
stay safe... and come home soon.
and if you have access to a computer keep in touch with us here at RDT.
Good Luck.

Hey, any idea what base you're going to? What's your job? I was on Ar Ramadi with some ATC guys. They would clear the air space so we could shoot Artillery. Just in case a plane was in the area so it wouldn't get hit by the rounds. At least there's more to do over there now. When I went we had nothing and we were glad to get it! hehe... Seriously, i wouldn't want to go back for anything. I got blown up, shot at and had to keep comming back for more for 14 months straight with no days off, no leave, no nothing, in the 1st infantry divison. Keep your head up. it's only 3 months.
When are you gonna get over here java? I'll be leaving end of Oct/beginning Nov.
DTN - Were those ATC guys you talked to Baghdad Radio? Cuz I'm sitting in Baghdad Radio right now (my unit runs it and the control tower here in the IZ)
