well my gf got me and ipod nano and i cant figure out how to get the songs on there. i got all of my songs into the library but then when i plug the ipod in i get a message saying theres too many to fit and it selects the max and puts them on. but i want to put on what songs i want to have on it. help!!!!!!!!!

you need to remove some songs, those nanos can only hold so much. ive got my 30gig ipod full. your nano holds alot less then that... it's either 512megs or 3 gigs i can't remember. You need less songs or more ipod.

so i have to take out the ones i dont want one by one. i cant like put them into a playlist or something and then put it into the ipod?

yep.. use iTunes to do that. you can right click on your ipod icon on the left hand side and select which playlists you want synchronized. Make a few, and then you can just hook it up and select which ones you want today.

something else that will help is if you go into "Edit >>Preferences...>>" and once there, click the "iPod" tab and click the "manually manage songs and playlists". This will keep iTunes from automatically trying to cram every song in your library onto the Nano every time you plug it in
