I agree that they are deceiving, but there is no way that the car looks like it's moving. Obviously you aren't paying attention to the vehicles on the road if your looking at the wheels of a car or truck. This guy is full of holes, not what I would like to see if I had a hand in electing him.

As for banning them, I agree with Mad-Machine, what's next?? Customizing you car will soon be illegal if this goes through.

Wow, personally I hate spinners. But I agree with Mad 100%. This would be a starting point. Whats next? Adding a body kit to your car is illegal? Changing the stock wing? I mean we have to draw a line somewhere. If no one makes the 2' wide back tires (exagerating) that stick out a foot beyond the body illegal on cars then why should the spinners be?

i really dont think spinners are that bad looking, but back on topic here, i think that this whole ordeal of making them illegal is some guy trying to make an "impact" in the political world, and he thinks that by doing so he might one day be president..well..time to rase the flag on this one..bsflag.gif

Actually body kits are illegal in some areas... I think it has to be three inches above the ground or something here. I doubt anyone enforces though... and they should make those giant carbon fiber wings illegal. I'd vote for a law like that... tongue.gif

Neons I can kind of see why you would make them illegal... I can see myself getting distracted by those things if they are really bright on a dark night.

I'm getting the Cannot find server message so I didnt get a chance to read the page. I dont see how this could cause accidents, for the only way to 'think someone is moving' and hit them is to be behind them and try to move when they do. Can you see spinners from directly behind the car? I dont.

I'm sure, being a politician, that he has more important concerns then addressing a minor potential problem like spinners. He must have some time on his hands

Spinning wheel covers are most popular with customers in their 20s, said Richard Riekeberg, manager of the Big O Tire store in Altoona. He said his store sells about six sets a year, at a cost of $2,000 per set.

lol, dang those are some expensive covers. If I was into retarded tacky wheels i'd just pick mine up at walmart for $20:p:
