Default intake manifold

I have a little pondery here. Would another intake manifold fit on the 1.6L engine? The reason I ask this is because if one of us decides to supercharge it we're going to have to run a long a$$ intake pipe to the manifold because it faces the passenger side. Correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

I think it depends on the type of supercharger you use. If it's one of those manifold-type set-ups then you could do a custom manifold. (It's probably about as easy as making an exhaust manifold, in theory. If you use one like the Vortech V-5 D-Trim (I think the best option fo us) then it would probably require a longish intake pipe. In fact you could also rotate the manifold through 180degs and get the throttle body on the left side of the car, thus shortening the intake piping.

you can look at the howler in fast fours http://www.superstreetonline.com/editorial...9538&edtype=746
they took the intake and moved it to the other side.
