I really need to get a lower deductible.
Solo, how much is the difference in your payments with the $250 deductible?

yeah i heard Tib was one of the most stolen car in Toronto, not sure about Canada though.
but i thought the insurance was a lot cheaper if you lived away from megacity, like Toronto....i guess not?

never had anything less the 250. i've thought about droping it to 150 but that would add another 300 a year or so. but i've got a lot of stuff on mine. it's pretty much packed. no one could touch me with a 10 foot pole if i got in a wreck. i just added on the rental car option and it was like 3 dollars a month extra for both cars. i'll see if i can find my plan and lay it all out for ya.
$2980 per year. This is for a 2001 Tiburon, 2001 Elantra GLS, a 2001 Camaro SS and a 2001 Camaro SS. I can't find my last policy renewal that breaks it down. I go through Allstate. I also have all of my homeowners policies through them so I get a pretty fat discount. It works out to like 63 bucks a car per month, full coverage, $500 deductible, $150 comprehensive, uninsured motorist, rental, towing, blah blah........ I cannot remember what my injury coverage is though I know I got better than state required minimum. The Allstate agent we use is also VERY good friends with my wife, so I think that helps a little too.

Why, your monthly premium goes up with a lower deductible. You may need to check with your lien holder too, some require a $500 dedcutible.

I'd rather pay a bit more each month than have to pay 500 when something breaks.
There's only $250 difference, not much if you ask me. I've had a $500 deductible for years, saving me way more than $250 bucks.

I dunno. If I get my windshield broken by some bastard I don't want to have to pay for the whole thing ya know?
Could be right though.
Insurance is such a fraud.
